I have referred to T Harv Eker before....he has so many great success strategies that everyone should have the opportunity to learn from. I have his"Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" cards on my desk, which are quick daily "thoughts" based on his international bestselling book of the same name. The insights are fabulous....they are designed to show you how to think and act like wealthy people do, and get rid of the conditioning and past beliefs we have all grown up with about money. I pull one out of the deck each morning and reflect on the message....
Here is the message I got today - "Start a business full or part-time, work on commission, get a percentage of revenue or company profits, or get stock options. The vast majority of millionaires became rich by being in their own business."
This is so true! Business owners take control of their lives, they control their incomes, they control their time, and their results. Employees on the other hand, are victims of "circumstance" - downsizing, low pay, not enough holidays, no chance of advancement or promotion, etc. Business owners understand they can work for someone else and build their dream, or they can take a stand, make a bold move, become a business owner and start building their own dreams. Again, as I often say in my posts here, it is all a choice. We can all be victims of employers decisions or we can be victors in our own businesses. Bottom line, you will NEVER get rich working for someone else! I am so grateful that I have been a business owner for the past 22+ years, and now have the pleasure of teaching other people how to start their own businesses and create the type of wealth and freedom I enjoy, AND, how to do that working from their own backyards!
Harv Eker has an excellent program that I highly recommend to anyone that wants to shed their limiting beliefs about money....it is a 3 day intensive weekend that is done worldwide to assist people in getting their heads straight about creating wealth in their lives. Hey Debbie, right on the money, I so agree with what you wrote about mindsets and money. I didn't think I had any limiting beliefs around money untill I took closer look :0)
